Contemporary Landscape Architecture

Landscape architecture creates and designs open spaces for people: around, on, next to and even within buildings, as self-sufficient creations in populated areas or in the great outdoors. It mediates between nature and architecture, combines grown and planned environments, and brings together function and aesthetics. Against the backdrop of climate change, the central task today is the conservation of natural resources and the creation of sustainable, high-quality green and open spaces, especially in an urban context.
This compendium offers an overview of the entire creative field as a reference work and source of inspiration based on projects from all over the world. What they all have in common is that ecologically and socially intact living spaces are created and designed. Almost exactly ten years after the "Atlas of World Landscape Architecture", this new publication takes stock of the last decade.
