Within the framework of the nursing process, concept maps allow for the visual aggregation and analysis of case-related assessment data; to distinguish, name, and show the relationships between nursing diagnoses; to derive nursing interventions to solve or alleviate current and potential health problems and to assign nursing diagnoses; as well as to establish nursing goals and desired nursing outcomes.
