The journey through the inner workings of the modern computer world, structured in 16 clear chapters, begins with the hardware architecture of a computer and progresses through operating systems and computer networks with a focus on the Internet, leading to Internet applications and the underlying software technologies. A distinctive feature of this book is its emphasis on fundamental concepts from the computer world. Technical terms are used sparingly and are explained when introduced.
