With its inclusion in the ICD-11, the addictive use of computer games has found its way into health care as a new disorder. Other forms of internet-addicted behaviour can now also be coded as diagnoses, at least indirectly. The Outpatient Clinic for Gambling Addiction Mainz has a long tradition in the research and treatment of behavioural addictions and is a leader in the development of corresponding interventions.
