Systemic thinking and action in pastoral care allows us to better understand and accompany people in their relationships and 'family ties'. Knowledge from family and systems therapy is therefore transferred to pastoral fields of work and theologically integrated in this updated reading and workbook. Using concrete working models such as chaplaincy, crisis and hospital chaplaincy, it is shown how systemic work can be done in pastoral care, not least with individual persons. The author places particular emphasis on the integration of theoretical, practical and personal aspects of systemic pastoral care.
