Product details
The artist Christoph Grau, whose life's work is unfolded in this anthology, understood his realizations as an author, operator of an agency for contemporary art, as a freelance curator, collection advisor, and educator as: "mediating works." His artistic stance, which was constituted in the context of the paradigm shifts in art and society of the 1960s and 70s, continually renewed itself in the creative "becoming" of his projects. For him, it was about much more than the development of an artist subject or artistic processes. What occupied him was the incompleteness of the so-called works themselves, the intensification of universal figures, the conception of subsystems, the subversion of constants - an anarchy that was to become effective within the systems of art and education.
