Every person must inevitably ask themselves whether their actions are good or evil. They cannot live without an ethics, whether they reflect on it or simply go along with what everyone else is doing. From a biblical perspective, a morally good life always arises from a relationship of faith with God. Therefore, at the beginning, there is not a catalog of rules and prohibitions, but rather clear standards for good and evil that emerge from the nature of God and life with Him. These can be applied to all areas of our lives. For example, this leads to a sexual ethics, an ethics of life in the state and society, a work or medical ethics. God's word challenges us to apply these standards in our daily decisions in order to live well.
