Gender im Mainstream?

Gender mainstreaming and gender equality are terms that can no longer be found solely in academic literature. In particular, gender mainstreaming is currently being discussed as a political concept and is constantly under scrutiny. But what does (educational) implementation look like in social work? This book addresses the educational implementation of gender-equitable work in the fields of daycare centers and youth facilities. In this regard, a survey was conducted in the Ruhr area, based on qualitative interviews. The study group consisted of professionals from 16 institutions. In particular, gender roles are emphasized as a fundamental basis for gender-equitable work, which, according to the survey, has its origins at various levels and, above all, continues to be reproduced.
