Celestino Piatti: Alles, was ich male, hat Augen / Everything I Paint Has Eyes

The Swiss graphic designer and illustrator Celestino Piatti (1922-2007) created over 500 posters and more than 6000 book covers, primarily for the dtv publishing house. His graphics of emotions and fantasy shaped the visual memory of several generations and remain vibrant to this day. Through a wealth of iconic works and previously unpublished finds from the family's private archive, the story of a designer who was obsessed with his profession is told. The book traces Piatti's graphic and artistic development and presents the extraordinary diversity of his work. Individual pieces are commented on and contextualized by Piatti's contemporaries and graphic experts of today.
