Product details

In 1987, Sondermann was born as one of the most memorable German comic characters on the pages of the satirical magazine "Titanic." In his honor, poet Robert Gernhardt called for all bells to be rung and for dancing in the streets. Over the following 17 years, Bernd Pfarr created a poetically absurd universe around the seemingly unremarkable accountant, which is unparalleled in the world of comic art. Here, Sondermann must not only fend off his nasty boss and engage in office rituals like "Negro scrubbing," but also learn skiing from anteaters, while God dabbles on the tennis court and the Strittmatter brothers - three armed penguins - blow up dinosaurs in their spare time. On the occasion of the 60th birthday of the great artist, comic artist, and poet Bernd Pfarr, Carlsen presents his most famous creation in two magnificent volumes.
