Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, about whom not much is known regarding his private life and career, was primarily responsible for character design in the Gainax studio for the series "Fushigi no Umi no Nadia" and "Neon Genesis Evangelion." Sadamoto is also active in the fields of package design and storyboarding. With the TV series "Kare to kanojo no jijou," an adaptation of the shojo manga of the same name, he ventured into new territory in 1998 by filming a romantic comedy for Gainax. However, Sadamoto left the studio before he could complete the series. Antje Bockel was born in Wülfrath, North Rhine-Westphalia, studied Japanese studies and linguistics in Marburg, and lived in Shizuoka, Japan, from 1992 to 1996. She primarily translates manga from Japanese.
