Product details
The artistic profile of one of the greatest conductors of the 20th century, whose perfectionist demands made him increasingly shy of people. When the conductor Carlos Kleiber (1930-2004) died, one thing in particular emerged from the media reaction: how difficult it seemed to deal adequately with an artist who had largely eluded the demands of the cultural industry. Carlos Kleiber, the only case in modern music history in which the son of a world-famous conductor (Erich Kleiber) also achieved world fame, must be considered a unique example among the maestros of the immediate past. The perfect translation of musical ideas into body language and sign language was one side of the Kleiber phenomenon. On the other hand, the demand for perfection was accompanied by growing psycho-physical tension, which caused the almost complete regression of the music.
