Digital Forensics in the Context of Vehicle Networking, eCall, Vehicle Accident Data Recorders and Smartphone Coupling The increasing networking of vehicles with each other (Car2Car), with smartphones (Car2Phone) and central infrastructures (Car2Infrastructure) as well as optional or future mandatory extensions to be implemented in vehicles - such as accident data recorders and the "eCall" system - have so far been largely unexplored from the point of view of IT security aspects and data protection considerations.
