Simone Weils Cahiers, her notebooks, are the core of her writings and one of the great intellectual and human documents of this century. The resistant thinking of this great philosopher, who did not allow herself to be absorbed by any ideological direction, political group or party, is reflected in these processes of reflection, which never come to a conclusion. For Simone Weil, the form of constant confrontation with others (Plato, Descartes, Spinoza, Shakespeare, Racine, Goethe or with the Indian sacred writings, the Bible and the mystic Jean de la Cruz) was a prerequisite under which her thoughts could develop; the conversation, not the closed philosophical system, corresponded to her own openness, which deserves great attention.
