Product details
Over the many years I have worked with dogs, my perspective on them has changed significantly. Surely, most dog owners find themselves needing to familiarize themselves with the details of canine body language. Of course, I have also learned in this area, but above all, I have become more sensitive to the smallest details in a dog's movements. How a dog walks, jumps, carries its tail, sits, or lies down – all of this helps to assess how it feels at that moment and, most importantly, whether it is in pain somewhere. Unfortunately, the latter is much more common than one would expect. Therefore, I find it crucial for dog owners to engage with the dog's musculoskeletal system, which is why this is the main theme of this issue. Additionally, the magazine offers some exciting highlights across all topic areas. For example, Dr. Leopold Slotta-Bachmayr provides insight into the training and daily work of cheetah scat dogs in Kenya. Ariane Ullrich explains in detail how to effectively implement training in a secured mode with a long leash, and Corinne Keller writes about rituals that make daily life with dogs more relaxed.
