Burnout und Weltpriester

Product details
The study aims to uncover the potential risk of burnout among the secular priests of the Diocese of Graz-Seckau (Austria) and the Diocese of Rožňava (Slovakia). It also examines factors that may cause such a burnout syndrome, as well as identifying resources that can be helpful in burnout prevention for the clergy and, more broadly, for others involved in pastoral work. The direct confrontation of the developed results with the conciliar documents (Presbyterorum Ordinis and Optatam totius) provides insights into necessary interventions and concrete, possibly provocative, proposals for shaping the living and working conditions of the secular priests from both dioceses.
