Burnout-Prävention und -Begleitung

To date, there is no professionally recognized definition for the description of burnout. However, it is established that the illness arises in a work-specific context, and leaders are an important influencing factor in the development and treatment of the disease. Leaders themselves are often unaware of their influence on the course of the illness and recovery, or even reject responsibility in this regard. After introductory definitions of the terms health, stress, and burnout, the work provides an overview of the approaches to the emergence of burnout. The gradual progression of the illness forms the basis for tiered recommendations for action directed at supervisors, which were gathered through interviews with experts.
