Bündner Abendrot

The evening glow reflects in the lake at the foot of the Haupterhorn. While the cattle graze peacefully, a young woman gazes into the water. She sees a face, her own, but she does not recognize herself. In her hand, she holds a bloody knife – and does not know why. Giulia de Medici, chief investigator of the Graubünden cantonal police, wanted to spend a few days in her cabin in the high valley of Sapün, in the seclusion of the mountains, also to forget her great love, Erkki. But then, in the middle of the night, a disturbed woman with a bloodied knife stands at Giulia's door: Where does she come from? Is she a perpetrator or a victim? Does she need help, or does she want to harm Giulia? Still on that same full moon night, Giulia and her colleague Nadia Caminada set out to search for clues. It quickly becomes clear that the alpine pastures are not as deserted as they seem: The policewomen find themselves in life-threatening danger, and their investigations lead them back to the year 1984, when the Linthebene murderer spread fear and terror in the lowlands.
