In light of the growing importance of social assistance, political debates have been ongoing regarding the necessity of a stronger federal intervention.

The creation of a federal framework law for social assistance has long been a concern for various stakeholders. This work has examined what provisions a federal social assistance framework law should contain, focusing on substantive legal considerations.
