The teaching resource "National Socialism and German Self-Understanding" is a comprehensive foundational volume that addresses all central questions based on current historical research: from Nazi ideology and the establishment of the dictatorship to economic and foreign policy, the Holocaust, and World War II, as well as resistance and the handling of the Nazi era. The chapters "The Weimar Republic and Its Citizens" and "German Self-Understanding After 1945" contextualize the topics within the German history of the 20th century. Newly developed theoretical components are also presented.
