BMW R 1150 Rt

This volume (No. 5246) covers the BMW R 1150 RT model from the 2001 model year. The BMW R 1150 RT is the successor to the R 1100 RT, of which more than 54,000 units were produced and sold between 1995 and 2001. The R 1150 RT was launched in spring 2001 and is equipped with a 1130 cc engine that delivers 95 horsepower, which is also used in the sister models R 1150 R, R 1150 GS, and R 1150 GS Adventure. By the end of 2002, over 30,000 units of the R 1150 RT had already been produced at the BMW factory in Berlin, making this touring boxer more successful than ever. The drive features four-valve technology, fuel injection, and a regulated catalytic converter as standard, along with a six-speed transmission, where the sixth gear is designed as a rev-saving overdrive. The bike comes with nearly everything a touring rider truly needs as standard equipment.
