April 5, 2019: Dan and Isabel live with their two children in Brooklyn. However, the facade of domestic happiness is starting to crack. While five-year-old Violet tries to ignore the growing rift between her parents, ten-year-old Nathan takes his first uncertain steps toward independence. And then there's Robbie, Isabel's brother, who is supposed to move out of the attic, and whose departure threatens to tear the family apart.
