Die Tochter

The two friends Laura and Alina have sworn never to become mothers – out of feminist conviction and a desire for self-determination. It is unimaginable for them to give up their freedom for a child. But one day, everything changes. Alina becomes pregnant. Laura, who had her fallopian tubes tied, sees this as a betrayal. Why repeat the mistakes of their own mothers and enter into dependency? However, the doctors then discover that something is wrong with Alina's baby. Her life takes a completely different turn than she had imagined. At the same time, Laura befriends a little boy in the neighborhood whose mother neglects him. The new experiences awaken unexpected feelings within both friends. In two very different ways, they come to understand what it means to be a woman and a mother.
