He writes about his childhood with his brother Julian until Julian goes off to fight in the Spanish Civil War. It tells of the English countryside life of the 1920s and 30s, the artists who come and go in their home, and a terrible secret that comes to light and changes everything. "Brothers Forever" is based on true events and real people. Quentin, Julian, and their little sister Angelica were the children of the painter Vanessa Bell. Vanessa and her sister Virginia Woolf were central figures of the so-called Bloomsbury Group, a vibrant community of artists who lived and worked in England in the early 20th century.
