Bronsteins Kinder

This edition of "Suhrkamp BasisBibliothek - Arbeitstexte für Schule und Studium" (Suhrkamp Basic Library - Working Texts for School and Studies) is a little special, because it not only offers Jurek Becker's novel Bronstein's Children, but also, in the appendix, a detailed interview with the author about his life, writing and work, as well as the historical-political background and the thematic complexes of Bronstein's children. This edition is supplemented by a commentary containing all the information necessary for understanding the book: the history of its genesis and text, the author's own statements, the history of its reception and interpretation, references to literature, and explanations of words and facts. The spelling of the commentary complies with the new spelling rules.
