Juan left Spain years ago after a dispute with his parents and settled into his new life - until his father dies and he must return to his hometown for the funeral. Juan wants to keep the visit brief to escape the old dynamics of his relationships as soon as possible. However, he then learns that his mother has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and can no longer live alone. He finds himself compelled to move back into his childhood bedroom and to come to terms with his old, new life - and only now, as an adult man, does he truly get to know his mother.
