Alejandro Jodorowsky, born in 1929 in Tocopilla, Chile, is one of the most versatile artists in the scene. He considers himself primarily a director and actor—his films El Topo (1970) and Montana Sacra (1973) have achieved cult status. His comic scenarios are too numerous to list here—he has published works such as The Envy of the Gods, Moonface, and, in collaboration with Moebius, Lust & Faith through S&L. François Boucq, born in Lille, where he still lives, began his career in 1975, among other things as an illustrator for Playboy. The first comic albums were released starting in 1980. He gained a large readership in 1983 when he began publishing in the prestigious magazine (A SUIVRE). He now has an extensive body of work, including collaborations with writers like Jérôme Charyn and Alejandro Jodorowsky.
