Börners Sagenbuch von 1838

Author: Kathrin Pöge-Alder, narrative researcher, educator, and lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences for Technology, Business, and Culture (HTWK) Leipzig in the field of museology. Previously, she was a research associate at the Chair of Folklore (Empirical Cultural Studies) and worked on the DFG project "Wunschkindpille in der DDR" at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. After that, she served as a consultant for historical and contemporary everyday culture at the State Heritage Association of Saxony-Anhalt e.V. Currently: member of the state jury for Intangible Cultural Heritage in Thuringia, board member of the Friends of the School Museum Leipzig, member of the Council of the Mitteldeutscher Kulturrat Foundation, in the advisory board of the European Fairy Tale Society e.V., and in the International Society for Folk Narrative Research (ISFNR).

Illustrator: Madeleine Heublein, painter and graphic artist, born in 1963, has been working freelance in Leipzig since 1992. Her artistic work includes a variety of pieces related to literature, including works on William Shakespeare, Johann Wolfgang Goethe, Emile Zola, Else Lasker-Schüler, Raymond Federman, Heiner Müller, Ilma Rakusa, Kathrin Schmidt, and Christian Lehnert. In 2021, she founded the Leipzig Hand Press, which has published original graphic books on letters from Else Lasker-Schüler and poems by Adam Zagajewski.
