The Bernese regional journalist Linda Stahl wants to follow in the footsteps of her grandfather, the bestselling author Maximilian Stahl, by also launching her career as a book author. For her first crime novel, she researches the former youth detention center in Aarburg, a fortress in the canton of Aargau, where her grandfather was once imprisoned. When Maximilian Stahl is brutally murdered at the beginning of her research, Linda sets out to find his missing manuscript "Blaufalter," which her grandfather wrote as a young man while locked up in the fortress and which was then brutally taken from him before his release into freedom.

A crime novel based on true events, followed by a factual section that candidly presents the once diabolical conditions in the Aarburg fortress for the first time. Dr. Werner Disler, who now works as a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, previously worked as a social worker in the Aarburg fortress before his studies. In this book, he recounts in detail for the first time, decades later, the horrific events that took place in this fortress of evil.
