Because she exposed a corrupt superior and shot the crown jewels off a gangster, prosecutor Chastity Riley is now a victim protection officer and officially sidelined. It’s almost a stroke of luck that every victim has a perpetrator. The victim is a nameless man who is admitted to a hospital in eastern Hamburg, badly beaten. It’s all very professionally done, the classic warning shot. Riley gradually earns his trust. After two to eight beers in the hospital ward, he finally gives her a name. Not his, but it’s a lead, and it leads to Leipzig. There, Riley finds an ally and far too many clues.
