Once they were friends – until one of them became a traitor. Cambridge is a place of spies. Here, friendships are formed and betrayed. History professor Hunt knows this all too well; his former friends have long ceased to be so. Perhaps that’s why he is so interested in the German student Wera, who is fascinated by the "Cambridge 5": five students who were recruited by the Russian secret service in the 1930s. Those times seem to be gone. But then Hunt becomes embroiled in a murder case. Does he have something to hide, or is someone trying to pin the blame on him? And what role does Wera really play?
