How can we talk to children and young people about dying and death? For this task, help and food for thought are given, also for the confrontation with oneself, in order to be able to talk about the event of dying and death as free of fear as possible, calmly and serenely. A wealth of practical suggestions for talking and doing things together, as well as information on the development of the idea of death and the mourning behavior of children and adolescents, are illustrated by examples from everyday psychotherapeutic practice. A tabular overview of picture books as well as selected children's, photo, comic and youth books offers a comprehensive selection for the appropriate conversation starter based on a book suitable for this purpose.
