The first supplementary volume on building physics (Volume 1 of the series on building constructions) deals with the implementation of the EU directive on the overall energy efficiency of buildings, as well as the Austrian OIB guideline 6 for the harmonization of construction regulations in Austria, which has been in existence since 2007 and will become a binding regulation starting in 2017. The exact calculation methods are explained, and approximation methods for new construction and renovation planning, as well as for inventory assessment, are presented. For the third edition, the calculation methods have been supplemented and updated. This volume is primarily aimed at practitioners in architecture and planning offices, but also at real estate agencies and developers.
