Information about the title: Structure. The textbook is systematically organized by subject. Each main chapter begins with a double page that briefly introduces the content and leads into the chapter theme with a large motivating photo. The information page at the beginning of the chapter starts with a theme-related introductory photo. The subsequent introductory text is oriented around the image and ends with a question that introduces the chapter content. The material page includes tasks at all levels of difficulty. These also take into account the areas of competence listed in the KMK recommendations for the Intermediate School Leaving Certificate. The "In Focus" pages provide additional contextual references, promoting interdisciplinary work. The methods pages present important working methods in biology – students can directly apply the methods they have learned.
