Biographische Verknüpfungen

As a social science concept, biography is relevant for empirical research and theory building in various disciplines, but also for the link between science and practice in education, social work or care. With her empirical, theoretical and methodological articles, Bettina Dausien has played a major role in shaping biography research in both education and sociology over decades. The central objects of her work are education and socialisation, educational biographies and biographical knowledge as well as relations of social inequality, especially in the field of gender research. The articles collected in this volume tie in with her work and these topics in various ways, continue reflections that have already been started and, at the same time, make a contribution to current debates in biographical research and beyond.
