Bioethics

When does human life begin? What arguments support and what arguments oppose abortion? Is it permissible to conduct research on human embryos? Is it acceptable to assist people in dying? Can the genetic material of corn be artificially altered? These are questions that bioethics addresses and seeks to answer. Bioethics deals with fundamental questions of existence. Starting from introductory foundational texts, interesting issues are raised for students and presented for discussion. A varied range of teaching concepts offers a solid engagement with ethical and moral lines of argumentation to contribute comprehensively to the students' acquisition of competencies. The focus of the combinable components is on the further development of argumentation.
