Biodiesel Production from Mesua ferrea L. and Pongamia glabra Vent

The book "Biodiesel Production from Mesua ferrea L. and Pongamia glabra Vent" offers a comprehensive study of biodiesel production from two significant non-edible oilseeds found in Northeast India. The authors analyze the oil content and fatty acid composition of the seeds from Mesua ferrea L. and Pongamia glabra Vent. The results show that Mesua ferrea L. has an oil content of 75%, while Pongamia glabra reaches 33.6%. The fatty acid composition of both oils is described in detail, with Pongamia glabra exhibiting high esterification potential.
