Product details
The construct of attachment disorders encompasses a heterogeneous group of abnormalities in social functions and relationship behaviors in children, according to common classification systems. These disorders develop as a result of prolonged neglectful environmental conditions, which include neglect, abuse, or frequent changes in caregivers. Thus, attachment disorders differ from other disorders in that an etiological factor is already included in the classificatory definition.
The guide presents a practice-oriented approach to the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for attachment disorders in childhood. Based on the current state of research, guidelines for diagnosis, monitoring, treatment indications, and therapy of these disorders are formulated and their implementation in clinical practice is illustrated. By providing numerous materials for the diagnostic and therapeutic process, including work with parents and various case examples, the guide aims to facilitate the application of the guidelines in everyday clinical practice.
