Binder:Audiovisuelle Medien im Russisch

This book highlights the potential of audiovisual media for teaching Russian in schools, colleges, and universities, and supports Russian language educators in incorporating audiovisual media into their lessons. It provides well-researched and concise information about the contemporary Russian-speaking media landscape and its diverse formats. The selection of media examples includes cinema and feature films, Russian television—particularly the formats of TV talk shows and TV series—as well as current internet formats featuring the two YouTubers Jurij Dud and Ilja Varlamov. In addition to overview presentations, the book presents opportunities for promoting language and media literacy and encourages a critical reception of these media. The exercises and communicative tasks included in the book are also available online as worksheets, allowing for direct use in the classroom.
