Bilingualität als multikulturelle Wegweisung

Bilingualism and multilingualism are not exceptions. All over the world, there are people who can speak two or more languages. Bilingualism is a singular noun for a multidimensional experience: with and through languages, one automatically gains access to multiple cultures. Multilingualism opens up new, multicultural pathways. In this work, I would like to demonstrate that, firstly, we live in a multicultural society, almost regardless of where we are in the world, whether through globalization, migration, technological advancement, increased mobility, Americanization, or internationalization. Secondly, education and educational systems can and must connect to this cultural and linguistic diversity, making it a foundation to build upon, seizing opportunities and facing challenges. One way to achieve this is through the potential of bilingual education and, in general, bilingualism. Because bilingual education can always provide added value for all students.
