Important experiences that shape a lifetime are not made by children in special support programs, but in the concrete everyday activities. Daily life in the daycare center is full of learning opportunities: during greetings and farewells, at shared meals, during diaper changes and personal care, while getting dressed and undressed, during sleeping and resting, or during self-directed free play. With these topic cards for the training and further education of educators, seminar participants reflect on this approach of a life-world and everyday-oriented understanding of education. During parent meetings, educators use the cards to clarify why even the daily routine in daycare is educational. Why are the recurring routines in daycare, such as arriving, eating, care, resting, and playing, important educational situations? How can structured daily activities and room design support the self-educational processes of children? How can educators advocate for the significant importance of a well-lived daily life in daycare to parents and the public?.
