Bigoscht

In "Bigoscht," Kummer tells cheerful and rousing stories about what drives people - love, work, friendships, or even nature and growing older. The short stories are peppered with dialect expressions; likewise, all dialog passages are in Thurgau dialect. The "Gschichte" in "Bigoscht" are joined by "Gedicht", which are written throughout in Thurgau dialect and have their finger on the pulse of the times. They deal longingly, defiantly and playfully with, among other things, anger and courage, the seasons, doing business, guilt and innocence, departure, nature and life in the city - and writing. After the great success of the book "Gaggalaariplatz - Mundart für Aafènger und Fortgschrittni" (Gaggalaariplatz - Dialect for Aafènger and Fortgschrittni) (2019), Arisverlag has decided to "hit the nail on the head" and promote local dialect literature. With the newly created series "Edition Gaggalaariplatz", two books are to be published annually that put the spotlight on modern Swiss dialect. The various German-speaking regions and their different idioms will be taken into account. In 2020, the first volume "Bigoscht - Gschichte & Gedicht" by Tanja Kummer will be published.
