Beziehungspädagogik

The concept of relationship pedagogy opens up an unusual view of well-known phenomena. This includes the elementary importance of the parent-child relationship for the growing up and life courses of the young generation as well as the elementary importance of the teacher-student relationship for the learning history and school career of children and adolescents. The perspective of relationship pedagogy observes and explores families and school classes as educational or learning communities that are interwoven with their environment by certain social expectations and systems of rules as well as by certain cultural traditions and systems of symbols. It becomes apparent how their members communicate with each other in their roles and interact in the processes of teaching and learning. The perspective of relationship pedagogy sees in all persons involved actors who are distinguished from all other actors.
