Bewertung Von Synthetischen Farbstoffen In Getränken

The aim of the study was to evaluate the identification and quantification of synthetic dyes in carbonated beverages marketed in the city of Trujillo. Nine carbonated drinks and three instant soft drinks were analyzed, using commercially available dyes Tartrazine (E102), FCF Occaso Yellow (E110), Allura Red AC (E129), and FCF Brilliant Blue (E133) as standards. The Arata-Possetto method was employed for the purification of the dyes, for extracting the dyes from the beverages, and for determining whether the dye is of synthetic nature. Infrared spectroscopy analysis of the standard dyes was conducted to identify the azo group. Identification was performed using thin-layer chromatography and visible spectrophotometry. For thin-layer chromatography, silica gel 60 aluminum chromatoplates were used, and solvents such as ethanol, isopropanol, cyclohexane, and combinations of isopropanol/cyclohexane were employed as the mobile phase; the best results were achieved with an 80% isopropanol/cyclohexane combination.
