The further development of standardization in the field of geometric product specification and some related and newly published standards made the new edition of the DIN Handbook 11/2 necessary. It is aimed at designers, testers, and testing equipment planners in the area of manufacturing measurement technology. In addition to the basic standards for teaching, the handbook includes relevant standards for gauges for holes, shafts, threads, and cones, setting standards, test gauges, feeler gauges, and gauge handles. The standards (original texts in A5 format) reflect the latest state of technology. The standards for precision engineering that have been withdrawn without replacement are no longer included. Newly added are, among others, the two parts of the GPS standard DIN EN ISO 1938, which specify limit gauges, the teaching of length measurements, and test gauges for throat gauges, replacing DIN 7150-2.
