Due to changes in the social environment and the growing importance of environmental policy, waste disposal is becoming increasingly significant in business operations. Heinz Eckart Klingelhöfer first analyzes the economic and legal prerequisites and systematically outlines specific measures for implementing waste prevention and disposal in businesses. He then examines the individual economic adaptation to the relevant instruments for enforcing waste policy objectives from the perspective of production theory and production program planning. Based on a linear activity analysis expanded to include environmental protection, the author develops a general recycling model. This model allows for the representation of different uses of various object components, non-uniform qualities of recyclates, and the return after typically varying periods of use in the market.
