In his early years, Dylan was a singer-songwriter whose songs were heard on the small and soon larger stages of New York. Later, he became a poet whose works were read. His unique career, which began in the folk clubs in the early sixties, culminated in 2016 with the honor of the Nobel Prize in Literature. Dylan combines music and performance with poetry in an unprecedented creativity. His lyrics have always been much more than just words to his songs. This volume offers for the first time a bilingual selection of his best lyrics and poems, edited and with an afterword by Dylan expert Heinrich Detering.
