Vocational education and training is linked to labour market developments like no other education sector. The guarantee of the demands made on it (education, qualification of skilled workers, socialisation) are more topical than ever in the vocational and social science discourse. Against this background and with a view to the labour market and socio-structural shifts caused by the pandemic, this volume provides an inventory of vocational education and training in Germany with theoretical and empirical articles focusing on transitions and inclusion of young people, Europeanisation and internationalisation of vocational education and training, vocational and labour market policy.
