Treffpunkt Beruf can be used in addition to Berliner Platz 2 and 3 NEU, but it can also be used independently of the textbook. Treffpunkt Beruf practices important skills for professional life, including speaking in monologue (e.g., presenting something, leaving messages on the answering machine), speaking in dialogue (e.g., team meetings, counseling and appointment discussions, conversations with superiors, telephone calls), and listening (e.g., announcements, orders, instructions, responsibilities). Additionally, it covers reading skills (e.g., understanding notes, minutes, instructions, forms, employment contracts, product descriptions, and deciphering job advertisements) and vocabulary for specific professions.
