Therapie-Tools Problematische Mediennutzung im Kindes- und Jugendalter

Digital media are an integral part of today's environment for children and adolescents. On one hand, when used responsibly, they offer a way to participate in society; on the other hand, they can place high demands on the media competencies of those who use them. In the psychotherapy of children and adolescents, media behavior is a central topic. To address problematic media use, four areas can be focused on: - knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages of various media (including smartphones, social networks, computer games, and online games), - questioning one's own consumption, - competent and informed handling of personal data (including data protection and data storage), - awareness of potentially harmful sites or situations (including violence in media and cyberbullying). The therapy tools volume provides exercises and worksheets to intervene in cases of problematic media use with well-founded materials – whether in therapy, counseling, or social work.
